Bob is a lifelong resident of Salisbury. He was raised on his family’s farm on Jersey Road in Salisbury. The Culver family farmed sweet potatoes, watermelon, cantaloupes & other truck crops.
He attended Wicomico County Schools. Starting at Pemberton Elementary school, he then attended Wicomico Junior High and graduated from Wicomico High School in 1970. Working on the family farm gave him an appreciation of hard work and the responsibilities of others depending on you.
For his higher education studies, Bob attended Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, where he received an Associate’s Degree in Pre-Law. He then transferred back to the area, attending Salisbury State College in 1972, where he pursued a degree majoring in Economics along with a minor in Business Administration.
In 1972, Bob started his career in real estate sales. He was the youngest real estate salesman in the State of Maryland when he earned his license. While successfully selling real estate he started his own construction and land development business. While owning his Construction Company, he oversaw the creation of 5 subdivisions in the County, he also started the paddle boats in the Salisbury park, started the areas first limousine service, developed two mini storages, along with creating 2 restaurants, Market Street Inn and Cellar Door. Tavern.
He now focuses full time on his most challenging but rewarding job yet, representing the residents of Wicomico as the current County Executive.
